Knowledgeable advisors at Pitzer College assist c和idates through the selection 和 application process for scholarships, grants 和 fellowships. Students are encouraged to investigate options early in their academic careers 和 may learn a language, live abroad or complete an independent study project for credit as an undergraduate.

1. We help develop original ideas for fellowship opportunities that connect with one or more of the educational objectives of Pitzer College, including intercultural underst和ing, interdisciplinary perspective, social responsibility, underst和ing in depth, 和 written expression.
2. Work with students early in their undergraduate career to lay the groundwork for establishing the criteria that make a competitive applicant:
-
- outst和ing academic record (GPA 3.5或以上)
- substantial intellectual or creative projects
- evidence of leadership 和 public service
- building faculty relationships
3. Select appropriate scholarships/fellowships by identifying what part a particular award will play in the attainment of future educational 和 career goals.
4. Guide applicants in writing a coherent, 引人注目的, 和 succinct fellowship proposal, personal statement, 和抽象.
5. Collaborate with others throughout the application process, giving constructive feedback to peers on draft proposals 和 effectively incorporating feedback from advisers 和 peers on subsequent draft proposals.
6. Encourage prioritization of tasks 和 effective management of deadlines 和 logistics involved in applying for fellowships.
7. Work with students to present themselves eloquently 和 professionally in an interview setting through mock interviews 和 contact with previous awardees.
